Our society is saturated with diets. The good news is that this means more people are interested in eating healthier! On the other hand, some can be “yo-yo” or “fad” diets, meaning they’re unsustainable long term.
In this blog, we break down some of the more well-known diets and what they mean. If you’re curious to know which diet is the BEST for you and your body, keep reading…
Primarily consumes fish & seafood as the protein source (no animal proteins).
Salmon and tilapia are the primary fish items offered on our pescatarian plan. We also offer vegetarian/vegan proteins to supplement with those fish items, if preferred!
Does not consume animal meat.
We offer a variety of vegetarian protein sources including veggie burgers, beefless tips, quorn chikn & turkey, tofu egg salad and more!
Also known as the “caveman” diet. When following the paleo diet, you only eat foods that were also available during the Paleolithic era.
Sweet potatoes = only carb source.
We offer sweet potatoes baked, diced, mashed, fries, and even sweet potato noodles!
Does not consume any animal products (including meat, eggs and dairy).
The vegan protein sources we offer are similar to the vegetarian options references above!
Although we don’t have the option to select “keto” as your diet, we still cater to it!
We do not have added fats in meals (oils, avocado, etc.), because they denature too quickly and affect the quality of the rest of our ingredients.
If you want to order our keto option, choose “double veggie/ no carb” on your preferences!
This is the term we use if you do not follow a specific meal plan and are just looking to eat healthy!
We offer a variety of proteins, carbs and veggies on our standard plan.
Being fully customizable, all you have to do is mark off any ingredients you do not want want and we create meals based on your individual preferences!
People choose any of these diets for a number of reasons, including diet restrictions, intolerances, weight loss, to help the environment and more.
Someone might choose the keto diet because they are diabetic and want to minimize carbs. Another might be on paleo because they have an intolerance to grains. And some people choose to be vegan/vegetarian for religious reasons and/or to help the environment.
Not one of these diets trumps the other. The best diet for you is the one you can stick to and create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle with!
At Superfit Foods , we cater to each of these diets! Being fully customizable, we can make your meal plan exactly what you want and need. Don’t like broccoli? Don’t worry, we won’t add it in your meals!
