Myofascial release

In this video Jared demonstrates the foam rolling approach to myofascial release.
BENEFITS:
- Increased flexibility
- Relieves tension in the muscles by loosening up the muscle fascia and exciting your GTO (golgi tendon organs)
Before your workout, apply the foam roller to sore or tight parts of your body. Once you find that area, press in on the foam roller.
TIPS:
- If you have any contraindications, injuries, or if you are older, Jared recommends using a softer foam roller
- When you find a knot, let it rest 30-60 seconds and roll the fascia out and comfortably manipulate the tissue to realign itself.
